This rare Hard Times Token was produced in 1834 and was made out of Brass. The token has an image of William H. Seward facing left on the obverse, and an eagle with an olive branch on the reverse. There is strong detail that shows up in the die. This Seward and Our Country Die 1 Hard Times Token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-29.

The obverse text reads “William H. Seward, Our Next Govnr” and the reverse text reads “A Faithful Friend, To Our Country.”
