Value of Jackson Scowling Head Hard Times Token

With a slight variation from HT-1 and HT-3, the Jackson Scowling Head Hard Times Token will show differences in the hairline and in the way that the locks fall. The mouth is moved closer to the nose and has much more distance between the mouth and chin. This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-2.

The obverse text reads “Andrew Jackson.” and the reverse text reads “The Bank Must Perish. The Union Must and Shall Be Pre-served.” The obverse of the token has a portrait of Andrew Jackson, and the reverse has inscribed text surrounded by a wreath.
