The 1910-S St. Gaudens is almost always encountered with a razor sharp strike and very nice luster, the latter usually satiny although some frosty pieces are known. Most examples are confined to lower Mint State grades due to abrasions.
Obtainable with ease in grades through MS-64, this issue is scarce in MS-65 and seldom offered in higher grades. Remarkably one of the three Saint-Gaudens double eagles that PCGS has certified as MS-68 is a 1910-S.
