The obverse of the token reads, “City Shoe Store, J.B. Grout 3 & 5 W. Wash. St. Indianapolis” and the reverse of the token reads “Liberty 1863.”The obverse shows text running through the center of the coin with no decorative elements. The reverse depicts 13 stars surrounding the bust of an Indian looking left.
