The obverse of the token reads, “Ellsowrth & Halsey General Merchandise & Goods For Ladies Wear Lacon, Ill’s” and the reverse of the token reads “Liberty, 1864.” The obverse of the coin shows lines of curved and straight text taking up the entire field of the token. The reverse of the token displays an Indian facing the left side of the token with stars above.
