This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-230a

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Christopher Columbus and the reverse text is 400th Anniversary of the Discovery of America 1492- Oct. -1892. The front side of the coin shows a bust of an older looking Christopher Columbus in the center and facing the left, ruffles in his collar and a long beard, an ornate border surrounds the scene the text appears right within the border. The backside of the coin depicts a scene of the landing of Columbus in the center, men appearing in a small board with oars and approaching the land, text above and below with date being found at the bottom.
