The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Seal of the City of Allegheny, PA, First Log Cabin and the reverse text is Semi-Centennial of Allegheny City, Held July 17, 1890. The front side of the coin shows an image of a cabin in the center with a man rowing a canoe down the river and smoke coming from the chimney of the log cabin, text surrounds the cabin near the two trees. The backside of the coin depicts a full wreath in the center with three stars below and three lines of text within, circular text surrounds the entire design.
