The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads A Government dollar contains 412 1/2 grains of coin silver 900/1000 fine, this piece contains 412 1/2 grains of silver in value equivalent to one gold dollar November 1912 T.L. Elder Numismatist and Medalist. The front side of the coin shows numbers and values listed through the 11 lines of text on the reverse of the coin with three total lines being curved and a beaded border on the outside edge of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts a blank reverse, other than a few minor scratches on occasion, with a beaded border.
