The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Napoleon Sold It April 30th Jefferson Bought It 1803 and the reverse text is St. Louis 1903-4 Exposition Good Luck, Louisiana Purchase, Stars and Stripes Forever, Pat’d 1903. The front side of the coin shows the busts of two men, Jefferson and Napoleon, the date resting below and text also arching above. The backside of the coin depicts text and stars surrounding a banner, horseshoe and a four leaf clover, stars lining the bottom border.
