The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Michigan A Century of Progress Exposition Tuebor Circumspice E Pluribus Unum 1933 and the reverse text is The nation’s playground Come to Michigan to Play. The front side of the coin shows a shield of Michigan in the center with stags to either side of the shield, an eagle above the shield and text surrounding on all sides. The backside of the coin depicts a map of the Great Lakes in the center within a circle, a beaded border surrounding and text to the outer edge of the coin, a thicker border surrounding.
