The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Admiral Geo. Dewey and the reverse text is Manila Bay May 1, 1898 U.S.S. Olympia. The front side of the coin shows a bust of Admiral George Dewey in the center dressed in his military attire. The backside of the coin depicts a boat in the center which has been identified as the U.S.S. Olympia, with a rope circle surrounding the boat, and text to the outer edge.
