The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Belmont Incorporate 1859 and the reverse text is 1859 1909 50th Anniversary Town of Belmont, Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark N.J. The front side of the coin shows a figure in the center holding a branch with the ocean in the background and branches to either side of the design, text to the top and the bottom. The backside of the coin depicts a banner and torch at the top of the coin with branches surrounding and text spread throughout.
