The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads The World’s Colvmdian Exposition Chicago 1893 and the reverse text is U.S. Government 445 x 415 feet 3.3 Acres Cost $ 400,000. The front side of the coin shows a bust of Christopher Columbus facing the left side of the dollar with an open wreath surrounding the portrait of the man, text surrounding to the outer edge of the medal.
