The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Canton Illinois and the reverse text is MDCCCXXV Centennial MCMXXV. The front side of the coin shows a female angel flying towards the top center with the sun rising in the lower left. The backside of the coin depicts an outline of the state in the center with a cabin in the upper right hand side of the state, two feathers surround looking like a wreath and a gear below.
