The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads The World’s Columbian Exposition Chicago 1893 and the reverse text is The Forestry Building 208 x 525 feet, Cost $100,000, The Transportation Building 250 x 960 feet, Cost $370,000. The front side of the coin shows a bust of Columbus in the center facing the left and surrounded by an open wreath, text to the outer edge. The backside of the coin depicts two buildings shown on the medal, one on the upper portion of the coin and one on the lower portion of the dollar, decorative scrolls surrounding and text below each building.
