The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads The World’s Columbian Exposition Chicago 1893 and the reverse text is The Woman’s Building 200 x 400 feet Cost $120,000. The front side of the coin shows a draped bust portrait of Christopher Columbus facing the left with a wreath surrounding and text to the outer edge of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts a building, the Women’s Building, shown in the center of the coin with text written below and a beaded border surrounding the image.
