The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads 1895 1865, Childs Resurgens Atlanta, Ga. Cotton States and International Exposition Sept 18th to Dec. 31st and the reverse text is Fine Arts Building, Cotton States and International Exposition, S.D. Childs & Co. Chicago. The front side of the coin shows a phoenix in the center of the dollar with its wings spread and rays coming from behind its head, text in two lines surrounding the image. The backside of the coin depicts a short building at the bottom of the coin with arching text above and a single line of horizontal text below.
