The front side of the coin shows two pioneers in the center with a Native American man, who is pointing towards the right side of the coin with a city in the distance, a plane above and text surrounding, some text is simply outlined. The backside of the coin depicts a map of the United States with a horizontal and vertical line dividing the country over Salina, Kansas, text surrounding the map.
