This Token Came From – Fort Duncan, Texas

The obverse text on the token reads “The J.M. Brunswick & Balke Cos Check.” The reverse text on this token reads “Klappenbach & Co. Fot. Duncan, Tex. 12 1/2 ¢ in Trade Post Trader At.” The obverse depicts a small bust in the center surrounded by a beaded border with text surrounding that border. The reverse of the token shows a small circle in the center holding the text.
