The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads 1776 1876 Independence Hall Commenced 1729 Finished 1734 and the reverse text is Centennial Celebration chosen friends lodge, No. 100 1.0.0.F Sep. 20, 1876.. The front side of the coin shows a straight on, and very detailed, view of Independence Hall with the steeple reaching up to the circular text and dates to the sides and below. The backside of the coin depicts six lines of text with three inter-locked rings at the in between the first and second line of text.
