The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Commemoration De Deux Cent Cinquante Annes 1711 1961 Jean Baptiste Lemoyne Sieur De Bienville and the reverse text is From Enchanting Tradition Enduring Progress Mobile Alabama 250th Anniversary. The front side of the coin shows a bust of a man in the center looking towards the front right and with a date to either side of the head, some foreign text and English text surrounding. The backside of the coin depicts a crest of Mobile Alabama in the center with flags coming out from behind the center circle.
