The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads 1908 Souvenir Visit of U.S. Naval fleet Rear Admiral Evans to Pacific Coast. The front side of the coin shows a bust of Admiral Evans on the front of the token facing the right side of the octagon medal, a beaded border and text surround his bust. The backside of the coin depicts a ship in the front center of the coin, with two other ships in the background sailing towards the viewer, the sun setting in the background.
