The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Oregon 100th Anniversary Celebration, Frontier of the Future Centennial 1859 1959 and the reverse text is Wagon Train From Independence Missouri to Independence Oregon 1859 1959 Oregon Centennial. The front side of the coin shows a state seal in the upper left hand corner with a motif in the center showing a train, lightening bolt, mountains, plane, fish, trees, and covered wagons, all surrounded by text on the border. The backside of the coin depicts a wagon train snaking through the center with two spots of three-lined text and the date to either side, text surrounding.
