The front side of the coin shows a bust of U.S. Grant facing the right in the center with one line of text surround and 3 lines of text below his bust. The backside of the coin depicts a train running through the center with a banner arching in the sky, the train is running through the mountains with a castle-like building off to the left and palm trees below.
