The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads N.Y.W.F. Gold Silver and Platinum Metals, Baker & Co., Inc. Precious Metal Refinery Newark, N.J. U.S.A. New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Toronto, London, Paris, Tokyo, Engelhard Industries, New York World’s Fair 1939 and the reverse text is Pallas Athena, This Charm is Genuine Palladium, Goddess of Wisdom Bestower of Good Fortune, Guardian of Health. The front side of the coin shows a sphere and obelisk in the center with a monorail track surrounding the sphere, arching text in two lines at the top, three horizontal lines in the upper left of the coin, and a single line of arching text on the lower border of the dollar. The backside of the coin depicts a figure standing in the center with a sword and names to either side of the statue, text surrounding the coin in a circular pattern.
