The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Seal of the City of Allegheny, PA, First Log Cabin and the reverse text is Semi-Centennial of Allegheny City, Held July 17, 1890. The front side of the coin shows a log cabin in the center with a man rowing a boat in the foreground down a river, smoke coming from the chimneys and text surrounding. The backside of the coin depicts a closed wreath with a date inside of the wreath and text on the outside border, a star at the bottom of the coin.
