This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-579

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads H.A.S. Rex King of Carnival, Monarch of Merriment and the reverse text is Pro Bono Publico New Orleans Mardi Gras. The front side of the coin shows a crowned bust in the center facing the left side of the coin with a beaded border and text surrounding his head. The backside of the coin depicts a shield in the center with two crossed poles and an artist palette and a mask below, two lines of text on the bottom and a single line of text above.
