The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Andrew Jackson Old Hickory and the reverse text is Centennial of the Admission of Tennessee in to the Union of States, Held at Nashville June 1 1896. XVI Agriculture Commerce. The front side of the coin shows the bust of Andrew Jackson, as identified by the medal, facing the left with a complete wreath surrounding his head and 13 stars on the outer edge. The backside of the coin depicts a crest in the center with a boat and plow, surrounded by two lines of text and a single star in the lower center.
