The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Proclaim Liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof, Liberty Bell, 1776 1876, Lev. XXV VX. Pass and Stow Philada MDCCLIII and the reverse text is Centennial Memorial of the Cumberland St. M.E. Church Philadelphia 1876, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, PS. XLVI I. The front side of the coin shows an illustration of the Liberty Bell in the center with text surrounding offering a description for the purpose of the medal. The backside of the coin depicts lines of text for the creation of the church on Cumberland Street and to commemorate it.
