The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Manhattan Hotel, Manhattan Beach Coney Island and the reverse text is Hotel Brighton, Brighton Beach Coney Island. The front side of the coin shows a large building in the center with flags flying from the top and two lines of text below, a single line of arching text resting above the building and people seen near the beach at the lower part of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts a building in the center with several pointed and steep roofs, a flag in the upper center of the coin with two lines of text below and text arching over the top.
