The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Unity of Government is the main pillar of Independence and the reverse text is Liberty and Independence He is a freeman whom the truth makes free, July 4 1776. The front side of the coin shows an angled portrait of George Washington, looking towards the viewer but also to the right slightly, surrounded by descriptive text. The backside of the coin depicts four lines of text centered on the dollar, with two stars to the lower half of the coin and circular text running along the border.
