The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Panama-California-Exposition San Diego, The opening of Panama Canal 1915 and the reverse text is West Gate, Panama California Exposition San Diego 1915. The front side of the coin shows a steam ship sailing towards the right side of the medal with a mast at the top and back of the boat, the date diagonal to the side and text surround above and below. The backside of the coin depicts buildings in the background with the date to the upper right side of the coin, text surrounding within a beaded border.
