The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Worlds Columbian Exposition Chicago 1892-3 Columbus and the reverse text is 1492 1892. The front side of the coin shows a man standing in the center with his left hand on the globe and his right hand with papers, surrounding by text and dates. The backside of the coin depicts the discovery of America in the upper one third of the dollar with a large building taking up the lower two thirds of the coin.
