1853 Massachusetts Mechanic Association Medal

<h3Value of 1853 Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association Medal

This medal was commissioned by the Massachusetts Charitable Mechanic Association. The obverse displays a woman speaking to a child. The legend around reads, “FOUNDED 1795; C. GOBRECHT. F.” The reverse displays the legend along the outer edge of the medal. The legend within reads, “THE MASS. CHARITABLE MECHANIC ASSOCIATION AWARD TO” with space for engraving. These medals were struck every few years up through 1892.
