Value of Jos. A. Merriam Token

The obverse of the token reads, “Good For A Scent 1863, Merriam” and the reverse of the token reads “Jos. H. Merriam Medalist, Die Sinker and Letter Cutter Established 1850 No. 18 Brattle Square, Boston.”The obverse shows a dog facing the right with the engraver’s name on his collar. The reverse depicts several lines of text in both horizontal and circular orientations, and with two small diamond decorative marks.
