This medal was struck for the Michigan State Agricultural Society. The obverse displays a woman and a shield. On the shield is a view of a harbor. The legend around reads, “MICHIGAN STATE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY; C..C. WRIGHT. D&F.” The reverse lacks an image but reads, “MICHIGAN STATE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY. ORGANIZED MARCH 2TH 1849; TO-FOR-AT-THE MEETING 18-.” with space left for engraving.
