The Pennsylvania State Agricultural Society Medals were first struck at the Mint in 1855 and struck through 1878. The obverse displays the Pennsylvania seal. The legend surrounding the seal reads, “THE PENNSYLVANIA STATE AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.” The reverse displays a wreath made up of grapes on the left and corn on the right. There is no reverse legend, rather there is empty space for engraving.
