This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-598

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads May 20, 1884 Unveiling Firemen’s Monument Charlotte N.C. and the reverse text is Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence, May 20, 1775. The front side of the coin shows a tall monument in the center with a statue on top, the date spread to either side and curved text surrounding on the outside border of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts a wasps nest in the center being held from a branch, 12 wasps are shown below representing the other 12 states, a series of text surrounds in the outside border.
