This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-580a

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads H.A.S. Rex King of Carnival, Monarch of Merriment and the reverse text is Pro Bono Publico New Orleans Mardi Gras. The front side of the coin shows a King facing the left side of the medal with a crown on his head, his portrait is shown from the shoulders up and is surrounded by text to the outside edge. The backside of the coin depicts an artist palette and mask in the center of the coin with a shield slightly above, the shield has crossing poles in the center and text surrounding.
