This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-580

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads H.A.S. Rex King of Carnival, Monarch of Merriment and the reverse text is Pro Bono Publico New Orleans Mardi Gras. The front side of the coin shows a portrait of a King held within the beaded border and text surrounding the outside edge of the coin, a crown sits on the kings head. The backside of the coin depicts a shield and palette and mask in the center of the coin with a dotted border and text surrounding, the coin is completely surrounded by a much finer beaded border.
