The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Goodyear Welt Easiest Best, 100th Anniversary Mechanics Fair Boston 1795-1895 and the reverse text is Trade mark Goodyear Welt, C.L.C. Call for Goodyear Welt and Turned Shoes. The front side of the coin shows a shoe in the center of the coin with two curved lines of text surrounding and the date positioned below with a star to each side. The backside of the coin depicts a globe in the center with a banner running across the globe, text surrounding and stars to either side of the lower word.
