The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads The centennial year of our National Independence 1876 and the reverse text is Battle of Trenton December 26 1776 8 New York. The front side of the coin shows the bust of President Washington in the center with text and 34 star surrounding, the date is positioned in the lower center of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts text throughout the medal surrounded by an oak wreath and with a circle and rays within the medal.
