The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads The centennial year of our National Independence 1876 and the reverse text is Battle of Trenton December 26 1776 8 New York. The front side of the coin shows the nude bust of President George Washington in the center with the date below his neck, 34 stars and various text surrounding. The backside of the coin depicts a wreath in the center made of oak leaves with rays and a circle in the center, the date within the circle and text throughout.
