The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads General Anthony Wayne, July 16th 1879 Centennial anniversary of the battle of Stony Point and the reverse text is Stony Point expugnatum XV July MDCCLXXIX. The front side of the coin shows a bust of a man in the center who is identified as General Anthony Wayne with two lines of text surrounding above and below. The backside of the coin depicts a lake and mountain in the center with a dock and a single line of text above.
