The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Centennial Horticultural Hall Philadelphia and the reverse text is 1776 Illustrating the growth and prosperity of a free people in a hundred years 1876, Pat Nov 3 1874 H & L. The front side of the coin shows a Horticultural Building in the center with a single line of text above and two lines of horizontal text below, on line of arching text at the very bottom. The backside of the coin depicts a date at the top and the bottom with four lines of text in between.
