This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-669

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Town of Essex Massachusetts Incorporated Feb 15 1819 and the reverse text is 1819 1919 Commemorating the one hundredth anniversary of the Town of Essex Massachusetts. The front side of the coin shows a boat on risers in the center being built or repaired, a man below the boat who is very small, a rope border surrounding and text to the outside edge, four stars total in the border and a beaded border further out. The backside of the coin depicts six lines of text in the center, flanked by a torch and banner above and a branch below, the banner has the dates written on it.
