The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Oregon 100th Anniversary Celebration, Frontier of the Future Centennial 1859 1959 and the reverse text is Oregon Wagon Train 1859 1959. The front side of the coin shows a seal or emblem in the center for the Centennial Exposition and Celebration of the Oregon Trail with text and numbers surrounding the inner seal. The backside of the coin depicts a wagon train heading from East to West with horses and oxen shown on the illustration, a thin line separates the illustration from the text in the outer border.
