This Token Came From – Boston, Massachusetts

The obverse text on the token reads “Thomas Sayers Champion of England 1859.” The reverse text on this token reads “Jos. H. Merriam Die Sinker 18 Brattle Square Boston Medals Struck In Gold Silver, Copper Or Tin.” The obverse depicts a bust of Thomas Sayers facing the left. The reverse of the token shows a bust of a woman is at the top, very small, and surrounded by ornamental text.
