The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads President McKinley Born Jan 29, 1843, Assassinated in Buffalo Sept. 6, 1901, Died Sept. 14 1901 and the reverse text is Pan-American Exposition Temple of Music. The front side of the coin shows a bust of a man, President McKinley in the center and facing the right side of the token, text surrounding in an arching pattern above and below. The backside of the coin depicts a building in the center identified as the Temple of Music with text above and below, beaded border surrounding the design.
