The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Ohio Building, World’s Columbian Exposition Chicago, Ills. U.S.A and the reverse text is Grant, Stanton, Chase, Sherman, Garfield, Sheridan, Ohio’s Heroic Sons, Mother Ohio & Her Jewels. The front side of the coin shows a building in the center that looks like the White House, although the building is actually the Ohio Building at the World’s Expo, with text surrounding the illustration. The backside of the coin depicts a monument in the center with names written on the bottom of the statue and text in a vertical orientation to either side.
